Brazil: IRPF – increase in the exemption band for personal income tax

On 6 February 2023, the Federal Government published Provisional Measure No. 1.206/2024, increasing the exemption threshold for the Individual Income Tax (IRPF) for those earning up to BRL 2,259.20 per month.

 

 

 

Starting from February of this year, the income of individuals will be subject to tax calculations based on the new progressive monthly table. Let's compare the previous and current conditions:
