Rödl & Partner advises Skyworth Digital in the acquisition of British Caldero Limited

Birmingham (UK)/Stuttgart, 29 May 2017: The international professional services firm Rödl & Partner advises Shenzhen Skyworth Digital Technology Co., Ltd. (“Skyworth Digital”) in its acquisition of Caldero Limited in UK. The transaction was completed on 28.02.2017. Both parties have now cleared the post-completion routine. The transaction is structured with several layers of financing, and the agreed transaction value for the first phase stands at a total of USD 2 million.
 

Skyworth Digital is one of the worldwide market leaders in digital television products and smart TV. The company focuses on research, design, development, production, and sales of digital television set top boxes, digital televisions, smart networking devices, network access devices, car electronics, car networking equipment, etc. Skyworth Digital is a public company traded on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
 

Caldero, with its registered office in Leeds, United Kingdom, focuses on the roll out end to end OTT solutions, Broadband IP and Set Top Box related products.

With the acquisition of Caldero, Skyworth Digital further strengthens its leading position for digital TV in the European market, following its acquisition of the Strong Media Group Limited, registered in Vienna, Austria in 2015.
