Rödl & Partner advises Schweizer Electronic on investment project in China

Stuttgart / Munich / Shanghai, 14 December 2017:  Rödl & Partner advised Schweizer Electronic AG on a 180 million US dollar investment project in China. On November 15th 2017, SCHWEIZER signed an investment agreement with the government of Jintan (Jiangsu Province, P.R. China). The project aims to construct a sustainable high-tech production facility for printed circuit board (PCB) and embedding solutions northwest of Shanghai. The investment volume will amount to a total of 180 million US dollars allocated in the next years. From this investment project, Schweizer expects a revenue growth up to 500 million US dollars.

In the abovementioned project, Rödl & Partner provided comprehensive support to SCHWEIZER in the field of legal, tax and business advisory, with an expert team specialized in China investments. The Rödl team advised the client on the preparation of the business plans as well as feasibility studies, tax and legal structuring as well as negotiation with local government for the investment agreement. The business and tax advisory was under the leadership of Partner Mathias Müller, the legal advisory was led by Associate Partner Jiawei Wang.
