Rödl & Partner advises Zentis on acquiring indirect minority interest in Dutch company Peeters Produkten b.v.

​​​Nuremberg, 27 September 2016: Zentis, the Aachen-based fruit processing expert, acquired an indirect minority interest in the Netherland’s Peeters Produkten B.V. Peeters Produkten specialises in manufacturing sweet cream and spread paste products, which the Marsolo Group sells under the Penotti brand.

 

The investment and the relocation of production will help achieve production synergies and sustainably optimise production processes. For consumers, nothing will change about the product quality. Peeters Produkten will also continue to strictly observe the high standards of Zentis. In addition, Zentis will continue to handle product development, quality assurance and distribution of the Zentis brand products.

 

The Bundeskartellamt (Federal Cartel Office) has already granted its approval for the indirect minority interest acquisition.

 

Rödl & Partner’s transaction consulting team has advised Zentis on the formation of the joint venture. Among other things, the consulting activities focused on the business valuation of the Marsolo Group. In addition, Rödl & Partner advised Zentis during Financial Due Diligence of the Marsolo Group and assisted the company in financial aspects of negotiating and drafting the joint venture agreement.​
