Rödl & Partner advises Swedish AVIA Pharma on the acquisition of ALLERGIKA Pharma

As part of the advisory services, AVIA Pharma was supported by a specialised, cross-disciplinary transaction team from Rödl & Partner in legal, tax and financial transaction issues. Partner Thomas Fräbel (Munich) provided comprehensive legal (purchase) contract drafting and negotiation support including support on the acquisition financing. The overall project management, the financial due diligence as well as the business consulting was led by partner Matthias Zahn, the tax due diligence as well as the structural tax consulting by partner Dr Dagmar Möller-Gosoge (both Munich).

Avia Pharma AB is a Swedish sales and marketing company that has been active in the Scandinavian region since its foundation in 2016. Avia Pharma AB partners with research, biotech and pharmaceutical companies in the individual licensing and acquisition of OTC and prescription drugs. According to the company’s own statement, the main areas of focus are women’s health, urology, dermatology and general OTC. 

 

ALLERGIKA Pharma GmbH, based in Wolfratshausen, is a medium-sized pharmaceutical company with products for the prevention and treatment of allergies and skin diseases. The company was founded 25 years ago and, according to its own information, employs around 70 people.
