The TC Navigator® is our tailor-made solution for a digital tax compliance management system (TCMS) based on Microsoft and your support and work facilitation: It ensures that your company's tax CMS is suitable for everyday use and efficient, enabling you to document tax risks and to monitor and report them in an audit-proof task tracking system.
 

Digital TCMS for tax departments – mastering challenges

Tax departments assume – especially in German medium-sized family businesses and large medium-sized companies and groups – global responsibility for tax-relevant processes and act as tax business partners for the operating departments across the entire value chain.

Besides overcoming day-to-day tax issues, the company and its tax department in particular are required to be tax compliant and, ideally, to have integrated and maintain an appropriate and effective tax compliance management system (TCMS). In the future, an integrated TCMS for a taxable entity / entrepreneur may have an influence on the type and scope of investigations in an tax audit on the basis of Art. 97 § 38 EGAO introduced by the German legislator. We are already in contact with the state authorities of the German tax authority in this regard. 

An established, continuously used and effective TCMS verifiably documents the company's processes by which the tax bases are correctly recorded and taken into account so that the taxes due are paid on time and in total. ​Indeed, a TCMS project is an interdisciplinary project in which not only the tax department but also the relevant operating departments such as sales, purchasing, logistics, human resources and others are at the center of tax-relevant processes – every day. For this purpose, Rödl & Partner has designed various modules of the TCMS (e.g. risk control matrix, audit-proof task tracking, organisation matrix) and digitally implemented them in the TC Navigator®. Linking these modules with each other ensures fast and user-friendly updating.


We provide assistance – you navigate

We support you step by step in setting up your digital TCMS project and together we develop the right roadmap for your company. As soon as the TCMS has been set up, the company departments have been sensitised and the tasks have been assigned, the TC Navigator® automatically becomes part of your day-to-day work and you take the wheel yourself. The digital task management and assigned responsibilities facilitate your task of keeping track of ongoing to-do's.

As your caring partner, we are your reliable business partner: even after the implementation of the TC Navigator®, we will of course be at your side. For instance, we support you with any control instruments that still need to be set up (e.g. checklists or guidelines, directives, tax law training), work with you on tax issues and support you in the optimisation of processes following tax risk assessment. An active TCMS is dynamic, which means that adjustments have to be made at regular intervals. We assist you and ask the right questions such as: "Are the identified risks still up to date?" or: "How do changes in the law / changes in administrative regulations affect the tax-relevant processes in the company?".
