Medical criminal law

Medical professionals are increasingly confronted with criminal charges. Although criminal offences against physical integrity are common offences, the new provisions of §§ 299a, 299b StGB established corruption in the health care system as punishable offence.
 

It is of great importance for the group of health professionals to subject existing practices, cooperations and also contracts to a detailed examination. Of course, the respective law for these professionals plays an important role in the evaluation of their activities.
 

We expect that in the near future the law enforcement authorities will enormously strengthen the investigative measures in this area.
