Dear readers,

We are all currently facing particular economic, geopolitical, climatic/meteorological and regulatory changes. In addition, the forces of digital and sustainable transformation continue to have an impact on us. Setting the right course for entrepreneurial success is therefore anything but easy. On the one hand, it means “driving on sight”, while on the other, clear convictions about the various development scenarios are required in order to make the right investments and decisions. In this area of conflict, meaningful accounting and corporate reporting are particularly important. It forms the basis for internal corporate management and reliable communication with key stakeholders, such as shareholders, financial partners, suppliers, customers and employees, as well as interested members of the public.

With our new newsletter “Reporting Trends & Solutions”, we want to take account of the increased importance of accounting and corporate reporting. Our aim is to use our own entrepreneurial experience, our interdisciplinary expertise and our claim to be your reliable companion for success to provide guidance on current developments, targeted ideas and specific assistance in dealing with relevant topics.

In terms of content, this new format will provide you with information from all areas of our auditing business - Audit & Assurance, Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services, Corporate Finance, Environmental Social & Governance (ESG), Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and IT Audit & Advisory.

In the “Trends & Solutions” section of our first issue, you will find detailed articles on the potential impact of the NIS2 Directive on your company, what you need to bear in mind when introducing e-billing in the area of GRC and how you can avoid potential pitfalls when carrying out impairment tests in accordance with HGB and IFRS.

In several short articles, we inform you about other selected and currently relevant topics. With the government draft on the implementation of the CSRD and an overview of materiality analysis, we take a look at regulatory developments in the area of non-financial reporting, with the two standards IFRS 18 and IFRS 19 from financial reporting. You can also read about how the EU AI Act will regulate the use of AI in the future and how you can easily implement the measurement of corporate culture, which is required by (inter)national standards as part of the audit of your compliance management system.

We hope that you find our new newsletter an enrichment and support. We look forward to your feedback. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us personally.
