Rödl & Partner advises Green City AG on acquisition of wind farm in Italy

​Bolzano/Munich, 27 June 2018: Green City AG concluded its first acquisition in the Italian wind energy market, obtaining an 80% stake in a wind farm with an installed capacity of 12.5 MW in the north of Italy.

The acquisition with an undisclosed value signals the strong interest of the German company for the Italian renewable energy market: Green City, shareholder of numerous companies operating in the hydropower market, thus sets foot in the wind energy market and is also planning acquisitions in the PV space, in order to provide an integrated renewable energy offering. To support this project, Green City has created a team in its Munich office wholly dedicated to the Italian market. 

A Rödl & Partner team led by Paolo Peroni from the Milan office supported Green City in each acquisition phase, from legal, fiscal and financial due diligence to the drafting, negotiation and conclusion of contracts.
